Chia-Liang Liu was a Hong Kong film director, actor, and martial artist. He was born on August 1, 1936, in Guangdong, China, and passed away on June 25, 2013, in Hong Kong. Liu is best known for his work in the martial arts film genre, particularly his collaborations with actor and martial artist Gordon Liu. Some of his notable films include “The 36th Chamber of Shaolin,” “Eight Diagram Pole Fighter,” and “The Legend of Drunken Master.” Liu was also a member of the Shaw Brothers Studio, where he directed and acted in numerous films.
