    Charles Chaplin was a British actor, comedian, and filmmaker who rose to fame during the silent film era. He is best known for his iconic character, “The Tramp,” which he portrayed in many of his films. Chaplin’s career spanned over 75 years, during which he directed and starred in numerous successful films, including “City Lights,” “Modern Times,” and “The Great Dictator.” He was also a prolific writer, composer, and producer. Chaplin’s contributions to the film industry have earned him a place in history as one of the most influential and innovative filmmakers of all time. He passed away in 1977 at the age of 88.
