Carlos Saldanha is a Brazilian film director, animator, and voice actor. He is best known for directing the animated films Ice Age, Rio, and Ferdinand. Saldanha was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and studied animation at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. He began his career at Blue Sky Studios, where he worked on the first two Ice Age films before directing the third and fourth installments. Saldanha has also directed the animated short films Gone Nutty and No Time for Nuts.
