Tirdad Derakhshani is an Iranian-American film critic and journalist. He is the former film critic for The Philadelphia Inquirer and currently writes for The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Guardian, and The New York Times. He has also written for The Village Voice, The Atlantic, and The Washington Post. He is a member of the National Society of Film Critics and the Online Film Critics Society. He is also a professor at Drexel University, where he teaches courses on film criticism and film history.
