Mark Peranson is a Canadian film critic, programmer, and editor. He is the former editor-in-chief of Cinema Scope magazine, and is currently the director of programming for the Vancouver International Film Festival. He has written extensively on film for publications such as Sight & Sound, Cinema Scope, and The Village Voice. He is also the author of the book, The Realist: A Life in Film.
