    Bio:

    John Petrakis is an American film critic and author. He has written for the Chicago Tribune since 1975 and is a member of the Chicago Film Critics Association. He is the author of several books, including The Films of John Cassavetes: Pragmatism, Modernism, and the Movies and The Films of Martin Scorsese and the Pain of Salvation. He has also written for numerous publications, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Wall Street Journal. Petrakis has been a guest on numerous radio and television programs, including NPR’s Fresh Air and The Charlie Rose Show.
