Gerald Peary is an American film critic, professor, and filmmaker. He is the author of several books on film, including The International Guide to Independent Film and Video and American Independents: Interviews with Film-makers. He is the founder and editor of the online film magazine, The Arts Fuse, and has written for numerous publications, including The Boston Globe, The Village Voice, and The New York Times. He has also served as a film critic for National Public Radio and the Boston Phoenix. He is currently a professor at Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts.
