Bosley Crowther was an American film critic who worked for The New York Times from 1940 to 1967. He was known for his strong opinions and his influence on the film industry. He was a member of the National Board of Review and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He wrote reviews for some of the most iconic films of the 20th century, including The Godfather, The Graduate, and The Sound of Music.
