He was born on February 20, 1925, in Kansas City, Missouri, and began his career in the film industry in the 1950s. Altman’s films often featured ensemble casts and overlapping dialogue, and he was known for his use of improvisation and non-linear storytelling. Some of his most famous films include MASH, Nashville, and The Player. Altman passed away on November 20, 2006, in Los Angeles, California.
