Thelma Ritter was an American actress best known for her comedic roles in films such as Rear Window, Pillow Talk, and All About Eve. She was nominated for six Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actress, and won a Tony Award for her performance in The Seven Year Itch. She was known for her sharp wit and deadpan delivery, and was often cast as a working-class woman. Ritter died in 1969 at the age of 69.
