    Bio:

    Sheila Gish (1948-2005) was an English actress who was best known for her roles in the films The French Lieutenant’s Woman (1981) and The Lonely Passion of Judith Hearne (1987). She also appeared in numerous television series, including The Bill, Lovejoy, and The Darling Buds of May. Gish was a highly respected stage actress, appearing in productions at the Royal National Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company, and the Royal Court Theatre. She was also a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company. Gish was married to actor Robert Stephens from 1971 until their divorce in 1975.
