    Sandy Dennis (1937-1992) was an American actress who won two Academy Awards for her performances in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966) and A Touch of Class (1973). She was known for her unique style of delivery and her ability to bring a wide range of emotions to her roles. She was also a Tony Award winner for her performance in A Thousand Clowns (1965). She appeared in numerous films and television shows throughout her career, including Up the Down Staircase (1967), The Fox (1967), and The Out-of-Towners (1970).
