    Ray Milland (1907-1986) was a Welsh-born actor who achieved stardom in Hollywood after appearing in a number of classic films, including The Lost Weekend (1945), Dial M for Murder (1954), and The Big Country (1958). He won an Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in The Lost Weekend. Milland was also known for his roles in a number of westerns, including The Plainsman (1936) and The Big Country. He was also a prolific television actor, appearing in shows such as The Twilight Zone and Alfred Hitchcock Presents. Milland’s career spanned five decades and he was one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood.
