    Bio:

    Maurice Evans was an English actor, best known for his roles in the Broadway productions of Hamlet and Macbeth, as well as his portrayal of Dr. Zaius in the 1968 film Planet of the Apes. He was also a noted Shakespearean actor, appearing in over 50 productions throughout his career. Evans was nominated for three Tony Awards and won a Primetime Emmy Award for his performance in the television adaptation of The War of the Worlds. He was also a noted radio actor, appearing in over 200 radio plays throughout his career.
