Martha Scott (1912-2003) was an American actress and producer best known for her roles in the films Our Town (1940) and Ben-Hur (1959). She began her career on the stage, appearing in productions of Our Town and The Barretts of Wimpole Street. She made her film debut in 1940 and went on to appear in films such as The Desperate Hours (1955), The Ten Commandments (1956), and The Unsinkable Molly Brown (1964). She also appeared in numerous television shows, including The Twilight Zone, Bonanza, and The Virginian. Scott was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Our Town.
