Kiyoshi Kurosawa is a Japanese film director, screenwriter, and film critic. He is best known for his many contributions to the Japanese horror genre, including his 1998 film Cure and 2001 film Pulse. He has also directed several award-winning films such as Bright Future, Tokyo Sonata, and Journey to the Shore. His films often explore themes of alienation, existentialism, and the struggles of modern life. He has won numerous awards for his work, including the Silver Lion at the Venice Film Festival and the Japan Academy Prize for Best Director.
