Bush is the eldest son of Barbara and George H. W. Bush, the 41st President of the United States. He is the second president to be the son of a former president, the first being John Quincy Adams. Bush is a member of the Republican Party and has been described as a compassionate conservative. He is the founder of the George W. Bush Presidential Center, a think tank at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
