    Bio:

    Frank Faylen was an American character actor who appeared in over 200 films and television shows during his career. He is best known for his roles as Frank in It’s a Wonderful Life (1946) and as Uncle Charley O’Casey in The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis (1959-1963). He was born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1905 and began his career in vaudeville and burlesque before moving to Hollywood in the 1930s. He was a prolific character actor, appearing in films such as The Grapes of Wrath (1940), The Miracle of Morgan’s Creek (1944), and The Caine Mutiny (1954). He died in 1985 at the age of 79.
