    Bio:

    Doris Dowling (1923-2004) was an American actress and singer. She is best known for her roles in Billy Wilder’s 1945 film The Lost Weekend and the 1948 film The Naked City. She also appeared in the films The Blue Dahlia, The Big Sleep, and The Unsuspected. Dowling was a nightclub singer and performed in many clubs in the 1940s and 1950s. She was also a successful Broadway actress, appearing in productions such as The Voice of the Turtle and The Seven Year Itch.
