Donald Meek (1878-1946) was a Scottish character actor who appeared in over 200 films during his career. He was known for his distinctive Scottish accent and his ability to play a wide variety of roles, from comic relief to villainous characters. He was a regular in many of the films of the 1930s and 1940s, including The Adventures of Robin Hood, The Wizard of Oz, and The Grapes of Wrath. He was nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in the 1939 film Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.
