Carmi Gillon is an Israeli politician and former head of the Shin Bet, Israel’s internal security service. He served as the head of the Shin Bet from 1995 to 1996, and was the first Shin Bet chief to testify in public about the agency’s activities. He is also a former member of the Knesset, Israel’s parliament, and has served as Israel’s ambassador to Denmark. He is a vocal advocate for peace and security in the Middle East.
