    Bio:

    Cab Calloway (1907-1994) was an American jazz singer and bandleader. He was known for his energetic and flamboyant stage presence, and his scat singing style. He was also a master of improvisation, and his band was one of the most popular of the swing era. He was also an actor, appearing in films such as The Blues Brothers and The Cotton Club. He was inducted into the Big Band and Jazz Hall of Fame in 1978.
