Samuel A. Taylor was an American playwright, screenwriter, and author. He was born on June 13, 1912, in Chicago, Illinois, and died on May 26, 2000, in Blue Hill, Maine. Taylor is best known for his play “Sabrina Fair,” which was adapted into the classic film “Sabrina” starring Audrey Hepburn. He also wrote the screenplay for the film “Vertigo” directed by Alfred Hitchcock. Taylor’s other works include the plays “The Happy Time” and “Avanti!” as well as the novel “My Father’s House.”
