Bio:

Merian C. Cooper was an American aviator, filmmaker, and adventurer. He is best known for co-creating the character of King Kong and producing the original 1933 film. Cooper also served as a pilot in both World War I and II and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for his service. He passed away in 1973 at the age of 79.
