Donald A. Wollheim (1914-1990) was an American science fiction editor and writer. He was the founder of DAW Books, one of the first publishers to specialize in science fiction and fantasy. Wollheim edited numerous science fiction magazines and anthologies, and was a prolific author himself, writing under various pseudonyms. He was a key figure in the science fiction community, and was instrumental in launching the careers of many notable authors.
