    Bio:

    A. Milne, also known as Alan Alexander Milne, was a British author and playwright best known for creating the beloved character Winnie-the-Pooh. Milne was born in London in 1882 and began his writing career as a journalist before turning to fiction. He published his first book of children’s poetry, “When We Were Very Young,” in 1924, followed by the first Winnie-the-Pooh book, “Winnie-the-Pooh,” in 1926. Milne continued to write plays and novels throughout his career, but it is his stories about the adventures of Pooh and his friends in the Hundred Acre Wood that have endured as classics of children’s literature. Milne died in 1956 at the age of 74.
