Plot
It should be the happiest time in Valeria’s life. She and her husband, Raul, have finally seen one of their longtime dreams come true: Valeria is pregnant. At first, everything seems perfect. Gradually, though, her mood darkens. With motherhood upon her, Valeria can’t shake off heavy self-doubt and a pervasive dread, the latter stemming from visions of spider-like presences and other possibly supernatural threats. Hoping to confront these demons, she reconnects with the old, more carefree life she once gave up for Raul, including rekindling an old flame with her first love, Octavia.

Ryan White’s “Pamela, A Love Story” is a captivating and insightful documentary that sheds new light on the life of the iconic actress and model. While some critics argue that the film offers nothing new, I would argue that it presents a more nuanced and emotional side of Anderson’s story that has been overlooked in the past. Through candid interviews with Anderson and her loved ones, as well as archival footage, the film explores the ups and downs of her life and career, from her rise to fame as a sex symbol to her struggles with addiction and abuse. What sets this documentary apart is its refusal to sensationalize Anderson’s story or reduce her to a victim. Instead, it presents her as a complex and resilient woman who has overcome numerous obstacles to find happiness and fulfillment. Whether you’re a fan of Anderson or simply interested in the darker side of Hollywood, “Pamela, A Love Story” is a must-see film that will leave you both entertained and moved.
“Pamela, A Love Story” is a documentary that tells the story of Pamela Anderson’s life, from her rise to fame as a sex symbol to her struggles with addiction and her journey to redemption. Critics have praised the film for its honesty and emotional depth, as well as Anderson’s willingness to open up about her past. While some have criticized the film for being a retread of old scandals, others have found it to be a powerful and inspiring story of resilience and self-discovery. Overall, “Pamela, A Love Story” is a must-watch for anyone who wants to learn more about one of the most iconic figures of our time.

There are more illuminating documentaries about space exploration, but that doesn’t diminish Good Night Oppy’s infectious awe of the cosmos.
While there may be other documentaries out there that dive deeper into the mysteries of space, Good Night Oppy still manages to capture the pure wonder and excitement of exploring the cosmos. It’s like watching a kid on Christmas morning, except instead of presents, they’re discovering the secrets of the universe. Sure, it may not be the most informative documentary out there, but it’s definitely one of the most entertaining. So sit back, grab some popcorn, and get ready to be awed by the beauty of the cosmos.

Led by a reliably solid performance from Tim Blake Nelson, Old Henry serves up a supple cut of vintage western rawhide.
Old Henry” may not be the most groundbreaking Western out there, but it’s a solid piece of entertainment that proves sometimes simplicity is key. Tim Blake Nelson delivers a world-weary performance as the titular character, and the film’s expertly staged shootout is a satisfying throwback to old-school oaters. Plus, who doesn’t love a good twist or two? Overall, “Old Henry” is a fun ride that’s worth saddling up for.

A mediocre film might be excused somewhat by the merit of some ambition, but the problem with “Old Henry” is that there isn’t enough of that, either.

As it stands, there’s a healthy amount to admire and for some it may be enough to scratch a certain itch. But much of Old Henry feels a lot like its protagonist: worn-out, weathered, and old.
