If you’re looking for a movie that will make you feel like you’re on a wild ride, Possessor: Uncut is the one for you. This sci-fi horror flick is not for the faint of heart, but it’s definitely worth the watch. The cinematography and editing choices are stunning, and the acting is top-notch. Fourteen subtly establishes the bond between its main characters — and the way longtime friendships can erode by a matter of nearly invisible degrees
Fourteen is a movie that explores the complexities of friendship and how it evolves over time. While some critics found it slow-paced, others praised the film’s structural playfulness and emotional insight. Personally, I thought it was a refreshing take on the buddy-movie genre, with great performances by both lead actresses. It’s a relatable story that will make you reflect on your own friendships and how they’ve changed over the years. Plus, it’s set in Brooklyn, so you know it’s cool. A B-movie with an A-level commitment to entertain, Harpoon should hit the target with horror fans in the mood for gory, darkly humorous antics on the open water
Harpoon is the perfect movie for those who love their horror with a side of comedy and a dash of gore. It’s like a twisted version of a bottle episode, with a confined space and a cast of characters who are all at each other’s throats. But don’t worry, there are plenty of laughs to be had amidst the mayhem. The dialogue is sharp and snappy, and the running gags will keep you chuckling even as the tension ramps up. And let’s not forget the stylish compositions – this movie looks good even as it gets increasingly gruesome. So if you’re in the mood for a nasty little thriller that doesn’t take itself too seriously, Harpoon is the movie for you.

The Endless benefits from its grounded approach to an increasingly bizarre story, elevated by believable performances by filmmakers Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead
The Endless is like a rollercoaster ride that starts off slow and steady, but then takes a sudden turn into sci-fi territory that might make you feel a little dizzy. While some might find the narrative a bit bland, the film makes up for it with its imaginative concept and playful ideas. Plus, the cinematography is so fluid and the performances so cool and precise that you might just want to form a cult around it. Just don’t forget to bring some Dramamine for the ride.

Unfortunately the filmmakers introduce a sci-fi element in the second half that deflates much of the interpersonal tension and shifts the focus from the subtleties of mind control to the vagaries of time and space.

The biggest lesson of The Endless is how we can allow our lives to loop around in one crappy cycle until we cop out.

Despite an imaginative concept, the narrative feels surprisingly bland, even when the pieces begin to fall into place – and when there’s no quick punchline to fall back on, the film suffers.

This independent film is a unique balance between Lovecraftian world building, the intimacies of family dynamics, and the horrors of the personal limitations.
