Plot
The sins of the fathers. In a town near Little Rock, Lucy Fowler works hard for a construction firm; on weekends she drinks, goes home with someone, and come early morning, wakes and leaves as fast as she can. She cares a lot about her father, newly back in town, a painfully shy man who has nothing to say to her. She does go to a Holy Roller church with him about the same time that she starts, fitfully, a relationship with Cal Percell, new in town and a good guy. She kisses him sober, but still has demons to confront. What’s the source of her careless ways; can she turn coal into a diamond?

Closer to the source material than 1971’s Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is for people who like their Chocolate visually appealing and dark
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a movie that’s as sweet as a chocolate bar and as wacky as Willy Wonka himself. With stunning visuals and a lot of fun performances, it’s a treat for both kids and adults. Johnny Depp is a constantly surprising Willy Wonka, and the Oompa-Loompas are a community of singing delights. Tim Burton has outdone himself with this sharp, scary, and surprisingly heartwarming film that’s sure to leave you giddily drunk on its own sheer different-ness. It’s a madhouse of imagination that’s impossible not to love.

An amazing array of images from beneath the sea
Aliens of the Deep is like a sci-fi movie, but it’s real! James Cameron takes us on a journey to the depths of the ocean where we get to see some of the most bizarre and fascinating creatures on Earth. The 3-D technology makes it feel like you’re swimming right alongside them. Sure, the commentary can be a bit over-the-top, but who cares when you’re watching a giant squid? It’s like Avatar, but without the blue people.

Plot
James Cameron journeys to some of the Earth’s deepest, most extreme and unknown environments in search of the strange and alien creatures that live there. Joining him is a team of young NASA scientists and marine biologists who consider how these life forms represent life we may one day find in outer space not only on distant planets orbiting distant stars, but also within our own solar system. Aliens of the Deep is the result of expeditions to several hydrothermal vent sites in the Atlantic and the Pacific. These are violent volcanic regions where new planet is literally being born and where the interaction between ocean and molten rock creates plumes of super-heated, chemically-charged water that serve as oases for animals unlike anything ever discovered. Six-foot tall worms with blood-red plumes and no stomach, blind white crabs, and a biomass of shrimp capable of “seeing” heat all compete to find just the right location in the flow of the super-heated, life-giving water or to fry trying. Not dependent on sunlight (like all other life on earth), these ecosystems are as close to alien as anything ever imagined and provide one possible blueprint for the life that might exist beyond our world.

Changing Lanes” is a movie that will have you on the edge of your seat, wondering what will happen next. The two main characters, Gavin and Doyle, are both flawed and complex, making for an interesting dynamic. The themes of corporate ethics and greed are explored in a thought-provoking way, but don’t worry, it’s not all serious. There are plenty of moments that will make you laugh and keep you entertained. The Wild Thornberrys Movie (2002)
RT Audience Score: 51%
Awards & Nominations: NA
The Wild Thornberrys Movie brings its beloved clan to the big screen for an animated adventure that should prove entertaining for all ages
The Wild Thornberrys Movie is a wild ride for kids and adults alike. With a decent soundtrack and excellent voicing, this movie is great fun for animal lovers. The story of the animated explorer family running into poachers in Africa is engaging and energetic, but be warned, it occasionally collapses into flat, savanna-like stretches. Overall, this movie is perfect for parents who want to watch something with their little ones instead of just using it as a virtual nanny. So grab some popcorn and get ready for a wild adventure!

Awards & Nominations: 1 win & 6 nominations
A dramedy featuring an unusual love triangle, Keeping the Faith is a perceptive look at how religion affects us in everyday life
Keeping the Faith is a classic romantic comedy that will make you smile and swoon. It’s a movie about a rabbi and a priest who fall in love with the same woman, and it’s as wholesome as a ’50s Universal bedroom farce. The film’s comedy comes from basic human emotions, and it’s neither dumb nor vulgar. Edward Norton’s directorial debut is astute, and the three charming leads are at a strong point in their careers. So, if you’re looking for a light and affable movie with a relatively novel premise, Keeping the Faith is the perfect choice.

Plot
On the night he retires as a Reno, Nevada detective, Jerry Black (Jack Nicholson) pledges to the mother of a murdered girl that he will find the killer. Jerry doesn’t believe the Police arrested the right man. He discovers that this is the third incident in the area in the recent past with victims young, blonde, pretty, and small for their ages. So he buys an old gas station in the mountains near the crimes in order to search for a tall man who drives a black station wagon, gives toy porcupines as gifts, and calls himself “the wizard”, all clues from a drawing by the dead girl. Jerry’s solitary life gives way to friendship with a woman and her small, blonde daughter. Has Jerry neglected something that may prove to be fatal?

Road Trip” is a movie that’s perfect for teens who love a good laugh, but parents might want to cover their ears at some of the vulgar jokes. It’s not a masterpiece, but it’s definitely a cut above the typical gross-out college comedies. The characters may not be the most well-developed, but the humor is immature comic bliss. While the plot is overly cliched, the suberb acting by the stars (especially the tense interactions between Clint Eastwood and Tommy Lee Jones) and the spectacular special effects make this a movie worth seeing
Space Cowboys is like a space-themed version of The Golden Girls, but with more explosions and less cheesecake. It’s a fun and entertaining movie that doesn’t take itself too seriously, and the chemistry between the four veteran actors is undeniable. Sure, the plot is predictable and the script is weak in some places, but who cares when you have Clint Eastwood, Tommy Lee Jones, Donald Sutherland, and James Garner cracking jokes and saving the world? It’s a movie that’s perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon when you just want to sit back, relax, and watch some old guys kick some butt in space.

Plot
When a Russian satellite orbiting the Earth starts to veer off course. It seems like the guidance system in the satellite is of American origin. It’s important to try and fix it before it comes into the atmosphere. N.A.S.A. man, Bob Gerson (James Cromwell) tries to find out who designed it, and discovers that it was designed by Frank Corvin (Clint Eastwood), an Air Force pilot who, forty years ago, was part of a team who was originally suppose to go to space, but when N.A.S.A. was formed and Gerson’s influence, they were dropped. Gerson asks Frank to help, but Frank still holds a grudge. But after some prodding, he agrees but only if he and his team can go there so he can fix it. Gerson reluctantly agrees, so Frank recruits his former team members, “Tank” Sullivan (James Garner), Jerry O’Neill (Donald Sutherland), and “Hawk” Hawkins (Tommy Lee Jones) to join him. After some strenuous tests, they’re cleared. And they go up with two other astronauts and check out the satellite and discover that they weren’t told the whole truth.

There is something badly wrong with the film’s premise, which contradicts Milne’s lessons that Tigger can’t climb trees … and that, crucially, Tigger can’t be unbounced.
