Juan José Campanella is an Argentine film director, screenwriter and producer. He is best known for directing the Academy Award-winning film The Secret in Their Eyes (2009). He has also directed several other critically acclaimed films, including The Son of the Bride (2001), Luna de Avellaneda (2004), El Hijo de la Novia (2005) and El Mismo Amor, la Misma Lluvia (1999). He has also produced several television series, including the hit show Los Simuladores (2002-2007).
