    Bio:

    Joseph M. Schenck was an American film executive and producer who was a co-founder of 20th Century Fox. He was a key figure in the development of the Hollywood studio system and was responsible for producing some of the most iconic films of the silent era, including The Jazz Singer and The Big Parade. He was also a founding member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Schenck was later convicted of tax evasion and served time in prison, but was eventually pardoned by President Harry S. Truman.
