Critics Consensus

A talented cast and fiendishly frightening premise combine to make Anything for Jackson a must-watch for fans of supernatural horror

Audience Consensus

Anything for Jackson is a horror movie that will make you laugh, scream, and question your own sanity. Director Justin G. Dyck delivers a twisted and entertaining film that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The characters are well-developed, and the story is both clever and disturbing. It’s the perfect movie to watch with friends, but be warned, you might not be able to sleep afterwards. So, grab some popcorn, turn off the lights, and get ready for a wild ride. Just don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Director Justin G. Dyck takes a break from his holiday rom-com gig – he’s made an insane amount – and slays it.

Justin G. Dyck’s very smart movie lures viewers in with its clever concept and instantly strong characters only to present them with the kind of nightmare fuel that would impress Clive Barker.

Altogether, it’s a richer devil’s brew than you would expect, crisply edited and moodily shot – even if the last act doesn’t quite hit the spot.

It’s rare to find this kind of tonal mastery in a film in which so much crazy shit happens, and the tiny swirl of deadpan humor is perfect for leavening such an ultimately unsettling story.

Continuously manages to remain just as entertainingly unpredictable as it goes on, even as it stays in its singular location of the Walsh house.

A tongue-in-cheek, fun, sick and twisted psychological horror film anchored by its two two actors. Delivers on the creepiness and scares; lots of humor slathered with supernatural Satanism. (Blu-ray review).

No one here is winking or playing down to the material; instead, the filmmakers understand that villains are more interesting when their motivations are relatable.

Anything for Jackson may not be anything especially groundbreaking or terrifying, but it’s an enjoyably schlocky and utterly entertaining romp that horror fans are sure to love, if they don’t take it too seriously.
