    Rodrigo Cortés is a Spanish film director, screenwriter, and producer. He was born on May 31, 1973, in Pazos Hermos, Galicia, Spain. Cortés is best known for his work on the films “Buried” (2010), “Red Lights” (2012), and “Down a Dark Hall” (2018). He has also directed several episodes of the television series “Penny Dreadful” and “Locke & Key”. Cortés has won several awards for his work, including the Goya Award for Best New Director for his debut film “The Contestant” (2007).
