    Bio:

    Robert Z. Leonard (1889-1968) was an American film director, producer, and screenwriter. He began his career as an actor in silent films before transitioning to directing in the 1910s. Leonard directed over 100 films throughout his career, including popular titles such as “The Divorcee” (1930), “Pride and Prejudice” (1940), and “The Great Ziegfeld” (1936), which won the Academy Award for Best Picture. He was known for his ability to direct a wide range of genres, from musicals to dramas to comedies. Leonard retired from filmmaking in the 1950s and passed away in 1968.
