    Bio:

    Erle C. Kenton was an American film director and actor, born on August 1, 1896, in Norborne, Missouri. He began his career in the film industry as an actor in silent films before transitioning to directing in the 1920s. Kenton directed over 100 films throughout his career, including horror classics such as “Island of Lost Souls” (1932) and “The Ghost of Frankenstein” (1942). He also directed several comedies and westerns. Kenton passed away on January 28, 1980, in Glendale, California, at the age of 83.
