Alan J. Pakula (1928-1998) was an American film director, writer, and producer. He is best known for his work in the thriller genre, including the films “Klute” (1971), “The Parallax View” (1974), and “All the President’s Men” (1976). Pakula also directed dramas such as “Sophie’s Choice” (1982) and “Presumed Innocent” (1990). He was known for his meticulous attention to detail and his ability to create suspenseful and thought-provoking films. Pakula died in a car accident in 1998.
