Mikkel Boe Følsgaard is a Danish actor best known for his role as King Christian VII in the 2012 film A Royal Affair. He won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in the film. He has since gone on to appear in a number of other films and television series, including The Legacy, The Rain, and The Bridge. He is also an accomplished stage actor, having appeared in several productions at the Royal Danish Theatre.
