Ramin Bahrani is an Iranian-American filmmaker and professor. He is best known for his films Man Push Cart (2005), Chop Shop (2007), Goodbye Solo (2008), and 99 Homes (2014). He has won numerous awards, including the Venice Film Festival’s Golden Lion for Best Film for his 2009 film, Goodbye Solo. Bahrani is also a professor at Columbia University’s Graduate Film Program, where he teaches directing and screenwriting.
