Ned Tanen is an American film producer and former studio executive. He is best known for his work on films such as Grease, National Lampoon’s Animal House, and Beverly Hills Cop. Tanen began his career in the entertainment industry in the 1960s, working as a production assistant on films such as The Graduate and Bonnie and Clyde. He eventually rose to become the president of production at Universal Pictures, where he oversaw the production of some of the most successful films of the 1980s. Tanen has since gone on to produce films such as The Santa Clause and The Nutty Professor.
