Aaron Russo was an American entertainment mogul, political activist, and filmmaker. He was best known for producing films such as Trading Places, Wise Guys, and The Rose. He was also a prominent figure in the Libertarian movement, running for Governor of Nevada in 1998 and for President of the United States in 2004. Russo was a passionate advocate for civil liberties and a vocal critic of the government’s war on drugs and the income tax system. He passed away in 2007 at the age of 64.
