Clyde Gilmour (1891-1971) was a Canadian film critic and radio broadcaster. He was a pioneer in the field of film criticism in Canada, writing for the Toronto Star from 1929 to 1967. He was also a popular radio host, hosting the CBC Radio show “Gilmour’s Albums” from 1945 to 1969. He was known for his passionate and articulate reviews, and was a major influence on the development of Canadian film criticism.
