Peter Dexter is an American author and screenwriter. He was born on July 29, 1943, in Pontiac, Michigan. Dexter has written several novels, including “Paris Trout,” which won the National Book Award in 1988, and “Train,” which was adapted into a film in 2008. He has also written screenplays for films such as “Rush” and “Mulholland Falls.” Dexter passed away on April 1, 2021, at the age of 77.
