    Bio:

    Margaret Mitchell was an American author and journalist, best known for her novel “Gone with the Wind.” She was born on November 8, 1900, in Atlanta, Georgia, and grew up in a wealthy family. Mitchell worked as a journalist for the Atlanta Journal before she began writing her novel, which was published in 1936. “Gone with the Wind” became an instant bestseller and won the Pulitzer Prize in 1937. Mitchell died on August 16, 1949, after being struck by a car while crossing the street.
