Thornton is best known for his award-winning films, including “Samson and Delilah” (2009) and “Sweet Country” (2017). He has also worked on several documentaries and short films. Thornton is of Aboriginal descent and often explores themes of Indigenous identity and culture in his work. He has received numerous accolades for his contributions to the film industry, including the Camera d’Or at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival.
