Tony Richardson was a British film director and producer, born on June 5, 1928, in Shipley, Yorkshire, England. He is known for his work in the British New Wave movement of the 1950s and 1960s, with films such as “Look Back in Anger” (1959) and “A Taste of Honey” (1961). Richardson also directed the Academy Award-winning film “Tom Jones” (1963). He died on November 14, 1991, in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 63.
