    Sylvain Chomet is a French-Canadian animator and filmmaker known for his distinctive style of animation and storytelling. He was born on November 10, 1963, in Maisons-Laffitte, France. Chomet began his career as a comic book artist before transitioning to animation. He gained international recognition for his feature films “The Triplets of Belleville” (2003) and “The Illusionist” (2010), both of which were nominated for Academy Awards. Chomet’s work is characterized by his use of hand-drawn animation, surreal imagery, and a focus on character-driven stories. He continues to work in the animation industry, creating short films and commercials.
