    Bio:

    Robert Wiene (1873-1938) was a German film director, best known for his expressionist masterpiece “The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari” (1920). He began his career as an actor before transitioning to directing in 1912. Wiene’s other notable films include “Genuine” (1920) and “The Hands of Orlac” (1924). He continued to work in the film industry until his death in 1938.
