    Bio:

    George Roy Hill (1921-2002) was an American film director known for his work in the 1960s and 1970s. He directed several critically acclaimed films, including “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” (1969), “The Sting” (1973), and “Slap Shot” (1977). Hill began his career as a theater director before transitioning to film in the 1960s. He was known for his ability to blend humor and drama in his films, and for his collaborations with actors such as Paul Newman and Robert Redford. Hill won an Academy Award for Best Director for “The Sting” in 1974.
