Ethan Coen is an American film director, producer, and screenwriter. He was born on September 21, 1957, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Coen is best known for his work with his brother Joel Coen, with whom he has directed and written several critically acclaimed films, including Fargo, No Country for Old Men, and The Big Lebowski. The Coen brothers have won numerous awards for their work, including four Academy Awards. In addition to his work in film, Coen has also written several plays and published a collection of short stories.
