Claude Barras is a Swiss film director known for his work in animation. He was born on February 13, 1973, in Sierre, Switzerland. Barras studied at the École cantonale d’art de Lausanne (ECAL) and began his career as a graphic designer before transitioning to animation. He has directed several award-winning short films, including “The Genie in a Tin of Ravioli” and “Stigmates,” before making his feature film debut with the critically acclaimed “My Life as a Zucchini” in 2016. The film was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature and won several awards at international film festivals. Barras continues to work in animation and is considered one of the most promising directors in the field.
